Recently the Nevada State Governor, Steve Sisolak ordered cannabis dispensaries to close their storefronts in the COVID-19 pandemic.
The order allows them to go to delivery only. A directive from Nevada’s Department of Taxation said curbside pickup would not be allowed.
As a result, lone marijuana sellers have been forced to shut their doors. Some said they did not have the ability to offer a delivery service. Luckily most other dispensaries like The Apothecary Shoppe were quick to jump into action and get their delivery systems up and running in the nick of time.
Gov. Sisolak’s directives to shutter “non-essential businesses” have had a significant impact on the community. Mayor Daniel Corona told FOX 13 this week that as much as 70% of the community’s economy is tied to gaming. Casinos were ordered to close earlier this week. There is no telling how this will impact other industries, but as it seems, we are all affected in one way or another.
It is most important that we all remain calm, safe, and healthy during these uncertain times. We will recover from Covid-19 and come back VEGAS STRONG!
