If you’re in the business of cannabis – be it THC or CBD products – you’ve likely come across some issues when it came to accepting payments.
Following the Elavon issues from June, when they announced that their service will no longer accept Visa payments for the cannabis industry, many companies have since been scrambling to find a way to sell their products online. This was a huge hit considering Visa is the largest credit card issuer in the entire world.
But that struggle seems to be coming to an end now with ViaBill. Many major names – especially companies selling CBD flowers like Secret Nature, Plain Jane, and Tweedle Farms – are turning to ViaBill too keep their customers happy and business operations running smoothly.
So, how does it work? It’s actually very similar to PayPal. Upon initial purchase, the customer is prompted to set up an account which can then be used for all subsequent transactions. Once the account is set up, the consumer clicks the button to make a purchase, at which point a window pops-up allowing them to sign into their ViaBill account where their payment information is already saved.
Once signed in, the ViaBill system connects with the company’s payment page and completes the transaction. And there you have it; quick, convenient, and simple as can be.
It’s also reliable and sustainable. ViaBill is powered by Stripe, a payment technology company founded in 2010 and based in San Francisco, California.
They also differ from other payment options because consumer are not required to make the payment in full at the time of purchase. ViaBill pays the business entity upfront, and the consumer has the option of paying the amount in full or paying in monthly installments.
With ViaBill, customers once again have the option of buying much-needed CBD products with any major credit card. This very well may be the future for cannabis industry payments.
