Ingredients:
- ¼ cup dry dogfood
- 4 tbsp pure pumpkin purée
- 1 egg
- 1 cup almond flour
- Cinnamon (optional)
How it’s done:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix Make It Fresh with pumpkin purée and egg and mix well.
- Add almond flour, ¼ cup at a time, mixing until incorporated each time. If desired, sprinkle a pinch or two of cinnamon into the dough mix for added aroma. The dough should be sticky, but additional almond flour can be added until it reaches desired consistency.
- Lightly flour a flat surface with almond flour, then remove chunks of dough and roll into a cylinder about ½ inch in diameter and 4 in long. The flat surface may need to be floured more than once. Place rolled dough into doughnut wells, carefully smoothing over the ends of the cylinder to stick together.
- Cook at 350°F for 30 minutes. Let cool in the pan until the pan is no longer hot to the touch. Carefully remove doughnuts and cool on a cooling rack for at least 20 minutes. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
