On Feb 4, 2017, TDCANN Institute will host the first of a series of public seminars that will examine the impact of cannabis on the local, state, national and international stage. The goal is to enhance the knowledge level of various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, legislators, business owners, law enforcement and the general public.

The initial seminar's objectives are:
Examine the key aspects of the cannabis industry being introduced to Ohio
The importance of education
The history of cannabis in Ohio
Review the current state of science and research regarding cannabis and the Endocannabinoid System
Identify of risk and benefits of the industry for the patient, businessperson, and governmental officials on a local and statewide level
Determine the significance of cannabis in other states and the lessons that have been learned
Discuss the needs, opportunities, and barriers for collaboration among, across, and within the governmental role, the healthcare role, the business person role, and the role of the patient.
Seminar speakers will contribute perspectives from academia, government, healthcare, private industry and patient sectors at the global, national, and local levels.
This one day Seminar will be held at the Sheraton Capitol Square in Columbus, Ohio. Continental breakfast and lunch are included.
